- Abstract
This article discusses the surgical intervention for severe cases of hemorrhoidal disease (HD), specifically grade IV hemorrhoidal prolapse. While conservative measures and lifestyle modifications can manage mild to moderate symptoms, surgical intervention is often necessary for severe cases. The article highlights the use of hemorrhoidopexy, a surgical procedure that effectively manages massive grade IV hemorrhoidal prolapse, preserving the patient's anatomy and restoring function. The case presented in the article demonstrates the successful reduction of prolapse size and improved patient comfort following the procedure. The article emphasizes the importance of prompt surgical intervention in severe cases of HD to alleviate symptoms.
