- Title
USING the WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE to IMPROVE SALES.
- Authors
Powell, Jonathan W.
- Abstract
The article discusses the advantages of work breakdown structure (WBS) for sales improvement. WBS is an essential tool for project managers for planning and scheduling. According to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, WBS is a deliverable-oriented grouping of project elements which organizes and defines the total scope of the project. The use of this approach in a nontraditional marketing area sets a distinct potential return on investment for the selling company. However, this may be achieved if companies have sales professionals who have operational experience and familiarity in maintaining and establishing WBS.
