DOD Publishes Notice of Intent to Add a System of Records to the Privacy Act.
- Abstract
The article discusses the notice of intent issued by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) of the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). The notice intends to add a system of records that are subject to the Privacy Act of 1974. It will also enable the United States Air Force Security Service and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to produce transaction-driven financial statements in order to support the DFAS financial mission. The action became effective on July 13, 2007.
