- Abstract
An essay is presented which examines cultural change in London, England, during the 1960s through the work of photographer Eugene Vernier and the biographies of fashion models he worked with such as Tania Mallet and Ros Watkins. Particular focus is given to Vernier's spreads for the British version of "Vogue" magazine. Details on artistic collaboration between models and photographers are presented. The author emphasizes that models often designed and styled their own hair and makeup.
