Extensive relevant literature was reviewed and developed a structured questionnaire as a data collection tool. The 361 students in total responded, nominated as sample size using convenient sampling technique from 10 selected universities of Islamabad. The study revealed UEPs are being conducted with 1 hour time length allocated for a class. To instruct UEP lecture, workshop and library tours were the methods used. Mostly UEPs are being arranged 1 time in each term, annual and on a monthly basis. The data indicated UEPs increased the participants' searching skills, trained in use of library resources and services effectively. The UEPs' instructors are friendly, attendees praised UEPs are not losing up time and guarantee for friends. UEPs are being arranged in few organizations with the collaboration of university administration and faculty, but it is more better way, if it integrates with course curriculum. There is need to develop a policy at national level to initiate such type of training programs at formal basis
