- Abstract
The article offers information on potassium iodide (KI) and its potassium iodide in dermatology. Noted is the primary use of KI in the treatment of endemic goiter in a form of iodized salt. Also noted is the administration of KI in a form of saturated solution of KI for emergency purposes that contains 1000 milligrams of KI per milliliter of solution. Speculated is the ability of KI in suppressing neutrophils in generating hydrogen peroxide and hydroxyl radicals.
