The article discusses ways that literacy coaches encourage reflective teaching among teachers. The benefits of teacher development, particularly literacy coaching, for reading teachers are explained, particularly the benefits to teachers of being able to objectively consider their teaching methods. It is noted that differentiated coaching, or differentiated support, can meet the needs of a variety of educators by tailoring instruction for individual needs.
