- Title
HOUSING MARKET, CEMENT CONSUMPTION EXPECTED TO REBOUND.
- Abstract
The article reports on the economic forecast for the cement consumption industry in the U.S., which is expected to have a 2.2% increase in 2008 despite of the weak statistic and declination in 2007. According to Portland Cement Association (PCA) Chief Economists Ed Sullivan, sustained growth in cement consumption occurs when the sectors of construction expand such as residential, nonresidential and public. The gain trends in the 2008 nonresidential and public, and regional residential markets are projected to stay on track by 2009.
