- Abstract
Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) is a type of pulmonary hypertension that can be cured with surgical or catheter-based interventions. However, CTEPH is often underdiagnosed, and alternative imaging techniques such as dual-energy CT and PREFUL MRI may be useful in identifying patients with this condition. PREFUL MRI, a noninvasive technique, has shown promise in evaluating regional ventilation and perfusion in patients with CTEPH. Further studies are needed to assess the feasibility of using imaging modalities like PREFUL MRI for follow-up examinations and to determine its effectiveness in clinical settings.
