- Abstract
The article presents a study that determines the commonly used pesticide concentrations in stream and pond sediments in a small agricultural catchment in southern Sweden. The study reveals that there are four most frequently detected pesticides including fungicides fenpropimorph and propiconazole, and the insecticide fenvalerate. In addition, highest total pesticide concentrations reached 350 micrograms per kilogram were found in the small pond at the catchment outlet. Results demonstrate the importance of pesticide distribution between matrices.
