- Abstract
This paper talks about the academic performance concept, as well as family, adolescence and biopsychosocial trance ones. These are contextualized in high school, specifically in sixth grade, where students are living a biopsychosocial trance passing from childhood to adolescence, producing a series of malfunctions in their academic process. In this sense, family factors are emphasized due to the fact that their socioeconomics, structural and authority style characteristics. Family factors affect considerably the adolescence academic performance. Besides, a conceptualization about adolescence is done in the paper, highlighting the different changes in physical, mental and social level suffered by the children. Finally, a family influence reflection in sixth-grade adolescence academic performance is proposed.
