The article discusses the accuracy of home blood pressure monitors that used for the treatment of hypertension including symptomatic hypotension, hypoperfusion-induced cerebrovascular and cardiovascular adverse events, and fall-related injuries. Also includes information on validation and certification process of these monitors featuring standards of the American Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
