- Abstract
The article looks at Dezső Tandori, a Hungarian poet, artist, and novelist. The author notes that Tandori's early poetry brought about a major revolution within contemporary Hungarian poetry and inspired many of his peers. Tandori's contributions to Hungarian fiction are also reviewed. It is noted that he also served as a translator for several books by popular authors such as Samuel Beckett and Thomas Bernhard. Tandori's first collection of poems, "Töredék Hamletnek," which was first published in 1968, is discussed.
