- Abstract
For the design of self-organizing network routing algorithm for Automatic Identification System (AIS), a technical scheme based on optimized Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing (GPSR) is proposed. This scheme uses the time division multiple access (TDMA) protocol of AIS to provide a channel access method for messages. Firstly, an adaptive forwarding strategy is designed for messages with geolocation, so that the ship nodes can independently decide the forwarding behavior of location messages according to the network environment. Secondly, by narrowing the selection range of GPSR greedy forwarding, the edge routing failures caused by node movement are reduced. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme realizes the effective networking of AIS ship nodes. Compared with the existing forwarding strategy, the adaptive forwarding strategy reduces the forwarding numbers of location messages by 92.7% and reduces the time slot conflict rate by 79. 6%,which can effectively improve the utilization of network resources.
