- Title
OBEDIENCE AND BLOOD-SPRINKLING IN 1 PETER 1:2.
- Authors
PAGE, SYDNEY H. T.
- Abstract
The article explains why Francis Agnew's interpretation of the phrase "for obedience and for sprinkling with Jesus Christ's blood," which is found in the First Epistle of Saint Peter, chapter 1, verse 2 based on the New English Translation (NET) Bible should be rejected. It says that in spite of the undeniable appeal of Agnew's interpretation, his arguments are not compelling enough for others to support it. It mentions six considerations which show why the interpretation is flawed by examining its grammatical structure.
