- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a study which determined the exposure of domestic and captive farmed animals to severe fever with thrombocytopenia (SFTS) syndrome virus and Heartland-like virus. The study found antibodies against virus nucleoproteins in 10 percent to 18 percent of samples from cattle, sheep, goats, deer and elk. Bunyavirus in the genus Phlebovirus was the caused of SFTS, an emerging infectious disease in China.
