- Abstract
The authors' reply to a commentary on their article "The sFlt-1 to PIGF ratio in pregnant women with rheumatoid arthritis: impact of disease activity and sulfasalazine use," published in the 2021 issue of "Rheumatology," is presented. Topics include the observation that women with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have lower free placental growth factor levels, the likelihood that women with RA are to give birth to a neonate with low birth weight and the impact of modern RA treatment on angiogenesis.
