Und zum Schluss: Liebe: George Pattisons metaphysische Rahmung.

- Abstract
In his latest volume of the Philosophy of the Christian Life, Pattison addresses the titular question of a metaphysics of love. The discussion focuses on the presentation of three central ideas and elements: firstly, on the role of language with its forms as call and promise; secondly, on the relationship between love and time as Chronos and Kairos, in whose connection Pattison expands his thoughts from an individual to an ecclesial level. Finally, it is traced how, for Pattison, an inevitably human solidarity follows from his outlined thoughts. Critically questioned is why a universal love, as envisioned by Pattison, generally excludes self-love.
