- Abstract
The article compares elimination patterns for ß-Trace protein (BTP) and other low weight molecular proteins (LWMP) in different renal replacement therapies and high flux dialyzers. The link between BTP and residual diuresis (RD) and residual kidney function (RKF) as determined by mean creatinine/urea-clearance is also investigated. It notes that BTP is a reliable marker for RKF in patients undergoing renal replacement therapy.
