- Abstract
The article describes the bunny waveform, an early feature of subclavian steal syndrome shown by computed tomography. The waveform is said to resemble a rabbit with the ears representing the systolic peak, the neck as the mid systolic notch and the body as the diastolic peak. Subclavian steal syndrome involves the occlusion of the proximal subclavian artery as the vertebral artery system acts as a collateral pathway, resulting in a steal from the vertebral artery with complete retrograde flow.
