The narrative of Yu Da-fu's novels is different from other in this era. His unique narrative pattern can be summarized as "trivialized narrative" and "lyricism of trivialized narrative". His novels don't pursue complete story telling, but present some private trivial just like in diaries, in which the writer's sentiment is naturally presented in this telling.
