- Abstract
Studying the uncertainty of determination of carcinogenic aromatic amine benzidine by GC- MS can help the testing institutions to better grasp the accuracy of the test results of the substance, so as to accurately determine whether the tested object is qualified or not. In this paper, according to ISO 14362-1:2017 Textiles-Determination of aromatic amines decomposed by azo dyes Part 1 Determination of extractable or non-extractable azo dyes in textiles, the components of uncertainty that may occur in the measurement of carcinogenic aromatic amines benzidine content in textiles are evaluated separately. Finally, all uncertain components are synthesized and analyzed to obtain the determination of carcinogenic aromatic amines by GC-Ms. When the content of benzidine is 51.2 mg/kg, the expanded uncertainty is 6.4 mg/kg. The main factors affecting the uncertainty of benzidine measurement are random factors and the uncertainty produced by the instrument. The uncertainties caused by balance, pipette, capacity bottle and purity of standard products can be neglected.
