- Abstract
The article presents a study on the impact of the Tetronic 1307 surfactant on poly(ether sulfone) (PES) porous hollow-fiber membrane formation. For the study, researchers examined the phase diagram of the PES/N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP)/water system. They reported delayed phase separation following the addition of the surfactant. They also found that the introduction of the surfactant resulted to an increase in water permeability and to a reduction of dextran rejection.
