- Abstract
The article considers the role of Jewish councils in the history of collections development at the Jewish museum in Prague, Czech Republic since its 1906 founding. The impact of national socialism and the Holocaust on the social history of Prague Jewry is scrutinized with a focus on their interactions with the Nazi Jewish emigration bureau Zentralstelle für jüdische Auswanderung and the subsequent exhibition of everyday items and liturgical objects at the museum.
