- Abstract
The article discusses the political and institutional context of the 2009 intermediate election campaigns in Mexico. It mentions the growth in the utilization of public events (including tours, caravans, and canvassing) and new technologies in garnering campaign support. The article focuses on the campaign strategies of the three largest political parties in the country--the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), the Partido Acción Nacional (PAN), and the Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD).
