- Abstract
The article discusses a study that examines the attenuation of the adverse effects caused by the foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) vaccination in pigs. Topics discussed include requirement of a combination of strategy such as detection and elimination of infected animals to control FMD, side effects such as fever, pain, anorexia and lethargy in vaccinated animals and recording feed consumption in pigs to determine average daily gain (ADG).
