- Abstract
The article discusses an arts-based workshop developed by the Omaha Family Literacy Partnership (OFLP) in Omaha, Nebraska to promote literacy learning for young children and their families. Topics include children's author and illustrator Hanoch Piven's week-long project with the OFLP based on play through art creation, the Reggio Emilia academic method of involving families in preschool education, and the expression of emotional language through art play.
