- Title
Cardenio a la luz de Luscinda.
- Authors
MARTÍNEZ MATA, EMILIO
- Abstract
Although Cardenio has been renowned for his indecisiveness and, in his moments of insanity, compared to Don Quixote, this article analyses his psychological evolution and radical transformation as his love for Luscinda grows and turns him into a man willing to sacrifice his life for her. Likewise, his cowardice up to the time when he develops this love is also instrumental for his story to transcend romantic irrealism and become rational in the fashion of modern literature.
