- Abstract
Objective: To translate Modified Index of Interdisciplinary Collaboration(MIIC) into the Chinese, and to test its reliability and validity. Methods: According to the cross-cultural adaption guide of the self-evaluation scale, the Chinese version of MIIC was formed by translated,proofread,retranslated,cross-cultural semantic equivalence assessment. The reliability and validity of Chinese version of MIIC were tested by means of questionaire among 346 palliative care nurses working in oncology department, geriatrics department and hospice care ward of tertiary grade A hospitals in a city of Hubei province. Results: The Chinese version of MIIC included following 4 dimensions: interdependence and flexibility, newly created professional activities, collective ownership of goals and reflection on process, involving 42 items. The total Cronbach's α coefficient of the Chinese version of MIIC scale was 0.938, and the test-retest reliability was 0. 884. The scale-content validity index(S-CVI) was 0.932. And the item-content validity index (I-CVI) ranged from 0.802 to 1.000. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that 4 common factors were extracted, whose cumulative variance contribution was 63.42%. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the fitting indexes met the statistical standard. Conclusion: The Chinese version of MIIC had good reliability and validity, which could be used to evaluate the interdisciplinary teamwork ability of hospice nurses in China.
