- Abstract
Objective:To explore the correlation between finger oxygen saturation and fistularelated subclavian steal syndromes in patients with internal fistula. Methods: A crosssectional survey was conducted.Oxygen saturation on both sides of fingers among 201 patients with arteriovenous fistula was measure. The mean arterial blood pressure (MAP), pulse, dialysis adequacy, hemoglobin, serum albumin, parathyroid hormone (iPTH), phosphorus, calcium, Creactive protein and uric acid were collected and analyzed. Results: There were statistically significant differences in the fistularelated subclavian steal syndromes of different grades with both establish time of fistula (P<0.05) and the oxygen saturation (SpO2) of internal fistula side of finger (P<0.05). Finger SpO2 of the internal fistula side was negatively correlated with both the grade of subclavian steal syndromes and iPTH. Conclusions: The finger oxygen saturation was sensitive and specific to the fistularelated steal syndrome.
