- Abstract
The article summarizes the results of research into the information-seeking behavior and needs of hospital staff at a large health care provider in New Zealand. Clinical staff in the areas of medical and dental, nursing, and allied health professionals responded to a survey asking how often they consulted textbooks, experts, coworkers, search engines, or library resources to locate information. They were also asked how they assessed the validity of their sources, and whether they would like more instruction in searching and assessing search results.
