- Title
Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators (2005).
- Abstract
The article discusses issues and topics related to code of conduct for industrial conflict mediators in the U.S. Since its formal inception in 1913, mediation has experienced exponential growth and now cuts across several different disciplines. Modern-day mediators not only facilitate in a wide variety of contexts, but they come from all walks of life. As the profession grew, so did the number of ethical quandaries. Ethics and standards of practice were needed to guide practitioners and to insure mediation’s legitimacy against a variety of theoretical and practical challenges.
