- Abstract
The article discusses the need for initial teacher preparation programs to prepare teachers, and to present an overview about response to intervention (RtI). It cites the report titled "Teaching children to read: An evidence based assessment of the scientific research literature on reading and its implications for reading instruction," which focuses on what teachers should know on reading instruction. Moreover, the approach for Specific Learning Disability (SLD) identification is discussed.
