- Abstract
For the first time, TlI nanostructures have been prepared by a facile surfactant assisted precipitation. Different surfactant such as ionic and polymeric compounds have been used for modification of morphology and purity of nanoparticles. The nanostructures have been characterized by different characteristic methods such as SEM, TEM, DRS and XRD. The grain sizes and strain lattice of nanostructures have been estimated by the XRD patterns. The values of grain sizes are in the range of 12-19 nm and the strain lattice for these nanoparticles located in the range of 0.0022-0.018. The band gap has been estimated about 3.35 eV by DRS spectrum. The SEM and TEM images have been used for investigation the morphology of the product. Results show that the best morphology and purity achieved in the presence of NaHsal as capping agent.
