- Abstract
Flexible roller bending has the advantages of high accuracy, good quality, and variable curvature forming. It is an important production process of thin-walled cylindrical parts and variable curvature section parts in the fields of aerospace, marine engineering, power, construction, and so on. In the paper, three kinds of polyurethane rubber are selected, the forming force of the two-roller bending (TRB) process and single-roller bending (SRB) process is calculated by using ABAQUS software, and the forming force data are analyzed by using MATLAB software. The forming force variation laws of TRB and SRB process are obtained with the same rubber and different roller sizes. The prediction model of forming force of SRB process is established, and the relationship of forming forces between TRB process and SRB process is studied. Finally, the feasibility of the prediction model is verified by experiments.
