- Abstract
A biography of Pierre Goldman, a French left-wing intellectual, is presented. He was born in Lyon, France, in June 1944. His parents were Jewish. He went to university in Paris, France and enrolled in the communist party. He was an important character in the intellectual life in France after the insurrection of May 1968. Goldman spent several years in prison for robbery. He considered himself a Jew. He was assassinated in September 1979, and the perpetrators of his murder have not been found.
