- Abstract
The article offers information on Ji Shi Yu, a rare fish found in China. The said fish is listed as a rare species on the China Red Data Book of Endangered Animals, Pisces. It has a bold black/brown blotches on a creamy-white body. Found in headwater tributaries of Jinxiuhe River, Zhenchonghe river and Buquanhe River. No specimens were collected until recently in a small forest hillstream, and from headwaters of the Jinxiuhe River, and the Zhenchonghe River. Reproduction has not been documented for this species.
