- Abstract
Definitions for the term “exteriority,” as used by Marxist philosophy, are presented. It refers to the writings of German economist and philosopher Karl Marx on issues of German emancipation, his writings on political economy which consider how unemployed workers are outside the scope of studies of economists, and the intrinsic capitalist value of workers. Other topics considered include the oppression of wage labor, exploitation of workers, labor capacity, the proletariat, and South American philosopher Enrique Dussel.
