- Authors
Repass, Scott
- Abstract
The author discusses the citizens in Ralph Fiennes's 2011 film adaptation of playwright William Shakespeare's "Coriolanus." Topics covered include the setting's political unrest, the citizens' call for fair governmental representation, and their factiousness and willingness to consider varying opinions that is essential in forming a republican government. Also noted are these citizens' simple engagement in political discourse that may be inaccurately seen as unstable behavior.
