- Abstract
This article discusses a case of a 68-year-old female who presented with poor hand control, paresthesia, and an unsteady gait. The patient had difficulty with various tasks such as writing, dressing, and grasping objects. Neurological examinations revealed involuntary slow writhing movements in the fingers, impaired proprioception and vibration, and positive Romberg's sign. Further investigations showed spondylotic changes and spinal cord compression in the cervical spine. The authors suggest that this case highlights the importance of considering cervical spondylotic myelopathy as a potential cause of pseudoathetosis, as it is a treatable condition.
