- Abstract
The article discusses the aspects of community land development planning law traditions in the U.S. and offers suggestions on how these traditions can affect land development exactions in the U.S. Land planning and due process of law are the significant influences caused by the evolution of land use controls and the creation of a reasonable balance between private and public interests. It is inferred that planning has become a well-accepted aspect of a valid land use control system. The due process of law in land development planning defines the rights of an individual and delimits the authority of the state.
