- Authors
BAILEY, JOHN S.
- Abstract
The author offers his views on the future of seabed mining as of 1983. He cites that the current economic condition does not bode well for deep seabed mining. He explains why he believes that deep seabed mining should start under the regime established by the Law of the Sea (LOS) Convention. He also explains the significant role that joint ventures will play in seabed mining under the Convention. He discusses the relevance of International Seabed Authority rules and regulations on seabed mining.
