- Title
THE REGULATORY PROCESS: A FRAMEWORK FOR ANALYSIS.
- Authors
BERNSTEIN, MARVER H.
- Abstract
The article focuses on regulatory process for administrative regulation in the U.S. It states that work of regulatory agencies does not properly fit into categories of separation of power which are legislative, executive and judicial. It reports that none of these categories have constructive base to examine workings of the regulatory process. It highlights that there is difference between administrative regulation and promotion of companies as the former is administered mainly by independent commissions or other types of organizations. It mentions that there are several categories of analysis of regulatory process depending on regulatory programs which can be divided into categories such as public utility, financial and safety-oriented programs.
