- Abstract
The article presents a case study the relationships between local and national bodies in the decision-making process of a national Jewish organization in the United States, during the 1930s. Focusing on the District 6 of B'nai B'rith and its response to the policies of the national executive toward German leader Adolf Hitler's anti-Jewish policies from 1933 until 1939. The structure of the organization, hierarchical nature of the decision-making process as outlined by professors Ernest Stock and Daniel Elazar are discussed.
