- Authors
Halivni, Tzipora Hager
- Abstract
The article talks about the rise of the Birkenau Revolt and its objectives. Its emergence was somehow caused by the association of the Jews with a special squad Sonderkommando in exterminating its people. This military unit's objective was to burn down the corpses at extermination camps. It has been said that the Nazi program during the Holocaust was influenced by the conflict of interests between Poles and Jews, the dismissal of Jewish leaders, Polish antisemitism and the outcome of the revolt.
