- Abstract
The article profiles Francisco de Miranda, the Venezuelan hero of the American and French Revolutions. After his fight, he traveled across Carolinas to Boston, meet some notable people and toured the country's library and natural history collection. Miranda also became the leading revolutionary thinker in Latin America and recognizes the need to create a democratic republican world in place of the Spanish Empire. Information regarding the meeting of Miranda and Colonel W.S. Smith with the philosopher Moses Mendelssohn is offered. Several publications related to Miranda is introduced.
