- Abstract
The article examines use of pancreaticoduodenectomy as a multi-visceral resection that is the surgical resection of two or more organs in-continuity and is undertaken to resect malignancy with clear margins. Topics discussed include Pelvic exenteration (PE). It mentions that PE exenterative phase involving the resection of five organs such as pancreas, duodenum, and gallbladder and a reconstructive phase with at least three anastomoses including a high-risk pancreatic anastomosis.
