- Abstract
The article focuses on the relationship between serious public health disorder venous thromboembolism (VTE) and prolonged travel. It is noted that in individuals with pre-existing risk factors, the risk of thrombosis is higher. It is mentioned that a more likely explanation for thrombus formation during prolonged travel is hypobaric hypoxia.
