- Abstract
In medicine it is widely accepted the theory that almost any chronic, secluded inflammatory process, wherever it is in the body, represents a potential "hotbed" of infection. locations of predilection responsible for the appearance of chronic infection outbreaks are confined, in most cases, in the cephalic region. Thus, in 90% of cases teeth, apical or marginal periodontium, tonsils, adenoids can be labeled as potential outbreaks. The most aggressive are the tonsil and odonto-periodontal outbreaks. But also maxillary and frontal sinuses, or the middle ear, can hide chronic infections.
