- Title
Nonsurgical Sterilization in China.
- Abstract
The article presents method of male sterilization in China. A potentially reversible nonsurgical method of male sterilization has shown early success in Chinese tests so far: The method, in which a small amount of liquid polyurethane is injected into the vas deferens to form a plug, has been tried by 12,000 men, including 1,000 who have been followed for five years and 2,600 who have been followed for three years. So far, of 86 men who have asked for removal of the plugs, 51 have subsequently impregnated their wives, including all 31 whose sterilizations had been reversed for at least one year.
